about
Song is originally written by Joe "Red" Hayes and Jack Rhodes.
I recorded this track as a tribute to City People's Garden Store, my home away from home.
When the business was slated to close due to development, I contributed this song as part of an art show to be displayed for the public to experience for the remaining days of the store. I created a listening station using an old wooden drawer, an mp3 player and a set of headphones. I posted the song here for anyone to download and listen to as a token of the experience and the store. The photo used is a historical photo of the original building before it became City People's. You can learn more about the history and fate of the store at www.citypeoples.com/gardenstore.
You’d expect an album titled “Velociraptor” to be heavy and this doesn’t disappoint, as it’s jam-packed with serrated noise & feedback. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 22, 2023
